take some pics of original plates, and post them up and look and see if there is a centre console mount, and a hole in the floor for either a floor shift or a manual gearstick, as three on the tree is not a Sandman

Having read the conversation 3 times I think I have it sussed.

The ID plates that Catto's girlfriends dad has are not the original plates from the vehicle. The original plates that were on the UTE were stolen, and replaced with a set of plates from a HZ PANELVAN. Therefore the plates he has have nothing to do with the vehicle that is suspected to be a Sandman.

cheerz there is a hole in the floor and liek a red square thing sitin there i dont kno much bout cars thats y i hav got this project love cars just didnt kno much im only 19 so its not like this cars were my era eather lol,, the plates r still in kartha with my misses dad soo i wont hav a photo of them until he fly bak down witch is in 3 weeks but i can put some photos up of the car tomozz and see wat use think??

the red square thing if it is on the floor where a console would go would be the mount....yes well your age you prob were not even conceived in one lol......
glad you love old holdens its up to you to keep the dream alive...look forward to seeing the plates, they will tell all, but they have to match the chassis as well so you know they are the correct plates for vehicle....or chassis for plates, this is getting confusing...read some of the threads on this forum and you will learn a lot.

Cant prove its anything without plates. Just a car shell that could have been a floor shift with bucket seats or one that wasnt.
