i think you will have to go east.
Its alot dearer over here and the salty freo doctor doesn't help keep the condition of vehicles here either.

Victoria is the place to go.
I'd say more then 60% of vans advertised anywhere would be in Vic.
Here are some interesting stats for www.mysandman.com.au
Number of visits to our site. There are many more, even internationals, but you get an idea of breakdown.
- Sydney - 723
- Melbourne - 591
- Brisbane - 530
- Adelaide - 526
- Perth - 401
- Hobart - 105
- Canberra - 36
- Rockhampton - 8
- Launceston - 6
- Warrnambool - 6
I'd have to agree with Agro, since I have been watching Sandman sales the vast majority coming up for sale seem to be in either Victoria or NSW.
Vans as a whole be they Sandman's or not seem to be quite scarce compared to sedans, utes and even one tonners. A search on Ebay and car sales sites brings up very few panelvans for sale. It will be interesting to see where Sandman van prices go over the next few years.
4/75 HJ XX7 Sandman Panelvan ... Persian Sand currently restoring
7/76 HX Monaro 4dr 308 4sp... Absinth Yellow and rusty as hell.. SOLD
3/77 HX Sandman Panelvan ... Absinth Yellow and rusty as hell .. SOLD
Keep an eye out Aust wide. It took us 18 months to find the "right" one for us and that was in Perth (we are in Vic).
Freight is cheap. Prices are on the up. The white HZ on Ebay just went for $40,000 yesterday.
It was well worth the wait Ian... you ended up with a great van in a great colour..

Thanks all,
I do look at all states on a daily basis (ebay, carsales.com, tradingpost and more) and will buy from interstate, it is harder tho. Hard to spend that much money without looking in person, and paying online and hoping the Van actually turns up, I have come across alot of scams on the internet, but they haven't been good enough to fool me yet. Will fly somewhere to look at the right Van but chances are that it's sold before you get there, I have asked people to hold for a day for me to get there to view but no one has yet.
HZSANDMAN, nice van! how did you handle the interstate purchase?
