Just my way of doing it but I would find a donour window less van (might be hard) cut through the A pillars staggered of course then unpick the the sides where they join onto the top of the quarter panels. No one would know when finished.

there is a rust god in Perth who does van fill ins by putting a recessed edge on the filler panel, then urethane followed up with a few spot welds for good measure. Minimal distortion = minimal bog and dolly action!

my advice - be patient and buy a genuine windowless. As with 1Badvan ive never seen a good fill in job. I think it also depends on how fussy you are

Yeah your right, In the mean time a mate of mine in Melb who is involoved with Wasteland Vanners has alerted me to a HQ in a paddock near here, gunna check it out in a few weeks hopefully, in turn Ive found him a neat as GS Panno. Ok ok a Ford I know and thats a dirty word round here but Its a good price and damn near Ridgey Didge! we all know how rare that sort of find is. Holden, Valiant or Ford. Anyone who preserves a van shoul be praised in some way, keeping a vital slice of Australian Motoring history alive!

As Ive seen it can be done, but you need to have the right person do it. Trust is a large part here. If after 10-15 years it needs redoing...Id do that,be time for a new coat of jam by then probably anyways! Keep all the help and advice coming guys please! I really appreciate it!

Fords not a dirty word....... I actually think that if it wasnt for peoples resto projects you will find hardly anyone actually has a Holden as a daily driver. Some do, but I have to admit that I have owned more Toyotas than Holdens by a long shot.
I even have a poxy Escort speedway car(which dosnt go, but it is a ford after all).
