Depends on its usage. Auto or manual? Town or highway? Load carrying or towing or daily driver? Tyre diameter? Cam in engine? Stall of converter? Do you reverse a trailer or pull a boat out of the water?

Mix of highway and round town, Manual (poss Aus 4 spd) stock camm no boat, no towing, 185/65/14 Tyres. 253 V8. Ta HK really appreciate your input!

Ok: heres the wholse spagetti sauce. Im hoping to go and check out what could become my HQ this weekend. Just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone on here for all their help, I have never felt more welcome anywhere in my life, as for what you all know....geez! this stuff should be cataloged and put in the National Archives for the sake of the National Interest! If I am a ble to procure this HQ (or any other model Holden van) then I look forward to sharing the build with you all. And of course, the inaugural cruise and show appearence.....maybe also a Melb trip...Knox Cruise Night.... hmm the possibilities. Also want to shout out to me mate Frits, who has played a large part in getting me back into the vanning again, a true mate.

Update: The HQ didnt come off the owner wants to do it upm himself. :( and another van I saw up the road (HZ with stato front etc,) isnt for sale either. Damn! lol I reckon by the time these blokes get around to it they may be getting beyond saving....the search continues..............................:Chin:
