Anyone game to put a gts dash price up? I have noticed on the bay that they have jumped from $350 to mostly pulling $650 to $700 in the last 18 months. Thats taking your chances on the gauges working as well!

Be interesting to compare this thread with prices in a couple of years!

    Thanks Oz!
    BUT...
For the beginners out there could you please elaborate on YOUR idea of DECENT?

    IE.. Minor repairs req.
    No repairs req.. Just paint..

Not trying to be difficult but I do think that this thread will definitely help all of us on here..
    Thanx..

top price should have none to very minimal repairs..depends on how hard it is to get in what area your in...
find out what a panelbeater is going to charge to repair that bargain panel and then do the sums on spending top dollar...

    gts dashes...
hq with harness clean working gauges and a new repro fascia..$1200..with a nos fascia.?..i sold mine for $2000..fascia alone, and this was after the repros came on the market..
hj hx white needle..again with working gauges except clock, new lenses and rares fascia $850..just sold one at that price..
hz wb yellow needle really only about the same as white needle as described.add up to $450 wuth perfect woodgrain fascia on both but deduct $200 because your not paying for rares fascia..
add $750 for a perfect or restored silver fascia in white needle and again deduct the $200..
but you can throw those prices out the window if you buy a low quality dash and then do a full restoration on the dashes..add lots more bucks..

it all still comes down to how long is that farkin string....:Chin:
restorations are not cheap for quality but in saying that you can do them to a budget for a decent quality finish if you can do the work and you know what your looking at...
i taught myself starting 35 years ago when i was broke and parts were cheap...

I have no idea on the price of parts and agree that this thread is very helpfull to the normal person, like myself. but
to answer the always asked and rarely answered question about the length of string, i can help with.
It is definately and without question, positively, no arguements,

I paid 250 each for an immaculate bonnet and an immaculate prem radiator support.
I would have payed upto 350 per door, as long as it was a strip and and paint job. didn't need to in the end though, I could make up some good doors out of the 7 doors that looked good enough to my untrained eye.

When looking at doors and guards make sure the beauty lines are all there and mainly dent free, to get these perfect will take the panel beater the most time. What you get in good quality paint and parts you will easily save in paint and panel work. Also your job will be better in the long run. Spend your money now on good parts and you wont look back.

was cheap... the reason it did sell cheap is coz you started it too cheap and most people think cheap is shit..simple...still was a bargain for the buyer..
