    Cracked flywheel/Ring gear

    Has anyone had one of these?
    I spent the arvo pulling the one out of my HZ @#$%ing thing.
    The 6 bolts that hold the flywheel on, had been loctited in.
    So the other one is now sitting in there to finish off tomorrow.

    NOW for the life of me i can't see a crack anywhere, so where do they usually break??????
    BO6 = Rarer then a Sandman

    flywheels/manual dont crack...flexplates/auto crack around the crank bolts and around the torque converter to flexplate bolts...ring gear is the outer section of a flywheel/flexplate that meshes with the starter motor pinnion gear to start the motor...ring gears are welded in a few different spots to a flywheel or flexplate and are replaceable...welds will break on flywheels/ring gear causing the ring gear to be out of wack...:Chin:
