If this is real it would be very rare.
From Acacia Ridge so would it have the deluxe option code stamped on the plate?

What is the deluxe part? Badges? Looks like a HJ Kingswood with a statesman badge on the front and deluxe badges on the guards and over riders on the bumper bar.
Looks nice and straight though. I think a good HJ Sandman would be better value.
A "Deluxe" ute was better known as a "Big Country Ute". It was an option pack like Sandman. More often seen on HX sedans.
There are a few things on it that were not mainstream available options, like seat separator with 4spd, HZ Kingswood grille badge on HJ/HX grille, HQ V8 badges on the front guards, HJ Caprice bonnet badge. If this was a production car none of this would be possible, but if it has a special history like is claimed then anything is possible.
The ad states it has been resprayed so he no doubt added the bling, the phrase less is more springs to mind when I look at this ute. :Chin:
The plates and the id certificate would make interesting reading
has a hx ute same colour came factory air, power steering buckets n console it had a deluxe badge on the dash above glovebox , i removed it thinkn some nutter was going badge crazy ?? should i now be looking for that badge haha , pic in album
I found the HJ data.
Deluxe ute in HJ was based upon 8WM80 only so i'm not sure how that one got Kingswood heritage?
Option A8J. Available on M80, N35 and N69. Known as "Big Country Utility.
Had lots of Kingswood options plus plenty of heavy duty options and included the XW5 outback package.
I cannot find evidence of a Deluxe ute in HX, only sedan and wagon.
