They used to put similar things on Bedford vans back in the day, but never saw one on a pano before.
Might make a good carby scoop though.
with Agro never seen one, and it looks like a bonnet scoop if anything....

I've looked through the HZ parts book and cannot find a reference to this part. Also part does not appear in the package option for 'Vic Police' Nov 1979. I'd say these were out of factory fitted, probably at the Police garages.

Again I'm not sure, but would the police vans have changed the scoop later? Almost 100% that the scoops on the WB came from the police van I pictured. Either way I thought they looked horrible haha

I'd be 90% percent sure too Scott. That looks like it very well could be the same vent. Must have been a popular style of roof vent used on panos back in the day. :Chin:

from wat i understand these were fitted at holden , courtesy lights roof lining, paddy doors etc , and offsite fit out was lights radios signage ..... should know shortly when i strip back the rear door way ... weather the paddy hinge recess are there or not ,which should confirm wat i expected ....agreed ugly as lucky its tucked away on the roof , haha on the bonus side on a hot day it stays cool in the back compared to other vans
