Early HZ didn't get the same lights as GTS, so possibly it has something to do with that.

hmmm yes good point Byron. You could be right.
Here is a pic of the fuse. Its usualy located to the brake booster side of the wiper motor.
See how the red wire is not in the loom also. This is normal.

Thanks stick this I will look tomorrow take picture and report
Checked out our 9/78 HZ Sandman van and the fuse is there. Might be a date thing or perhaps another plant difference.
Cheers Dave
sweet its there as pikd above dopey me was looking to the left of booster where the loom enters .........![]()
Jason I have checked the red van, its build date is 5/78 and it deffo has the fuse you were speaking about, the first pic shows that it was hidden behind the wiring loom and above the windscreen wiper motor, the 2nd pic shows shows it pulled out in full view. My yellow van build date is 10/77 deffo doesn't have the fuse...so I would be very interested to know if Ski-mans van has this fuse, because they are both early HZ's and ran down the assembly line close to each other. It could be that the yellow van has the wrong wiring harness because when we purchased it, it had a HX Statesman rebuild kit throughout so to speak.
On the yellow van I couldn't tell you know whether there was a separate red wire running across the fire wall or not because I have retaped all the wiring loom during my restoration
Thanks Rodney
