    Beaver Panel replacement

Hey all i need to replace the beaver on my HZ, i just missed out on a 'nos' gmh one on evil bay. wondering if anyone has or had fitted a rare spares beaver. Are the a ok fit or rubbish? my other option is i know a guy with a wreaked ute i could get a rear cut in good condition for less than the price of a r/s repo beaver just a bit more work in un-picking the section i need.

I fitted a Rares beaver to my van. They dont have the recess around the spare tyre winch hole so I had to cut it out of the original and weld it in. I spoke to Rares about it and they told me they were going to get their manufacturer to change to dies to include the recess but I dont know when this is going to happen. Overall it was a pretty good fit.

There is a section on it in my "HJ Sandman van resto" thread.... http://www.mysandman.com.au/forums/s...hp?t=15&page=4

cheers guys, i didn't bid. I think i will get the ute rear cut. I can get it cheeper than a R/s beaver and it will be the full rear section so i can fix the rust in the botom corners behind the bumpers. and maybe put the side light section in the rh side as its had a wb quatter panel put on it at some stage in its life.

    the ever pondering Raz:Chin:

    Rear Beaver

I've been hanging out for Rares to change the tooling on their rear beaver panel to incorporate the winch hole.

    These are now on ebay

Any one had experience with these or know the quailty of the product?

    Steve
