Hey mate I'm new to the site, I own a genuine 1975 contessa gold hj sandman. It's a 253 4 speed all matching numbers, never restored or touched car that my dad brought new. I've got all the books an order forms from new. In regards to your post I'm 99 percent sure that colour is contessa gold, from the photo it's identical to mine. Cheers

No sorry mate in SA. Yeah my dad pasted it down to me, an I kept it sock as a rock. I'm a big fan of keeping it how it came off the show room floor. Of course it's showing it's age with faded paint an a few rips an tears here an there, but other then that it's all stocky. Ill post pictures when i work out how to do it. Been trying to find a black hj console to suit 4 speed as mine is broken around the gear shifter boot. Do you no of any around?

yes speak to Ozbox, he owns a wrecking yard, and also deals in NOS and rarespares. He also says that the rares consoles are pretty good, and come in black...The link below will take you to his area on the forum site....
