Yeah JD bought out Chamberlain in the late 70's. Got rid of their main opposition in Australia and then cut up all the tooling for parts and now it is impossible to get parts for them. They built Chamberlains into the late 80's but they were basicly a John Deere and in the end they even painted them green.
Yet another Australian manufacturer to be buried.

i thought i may be able to get the motor out after i undid everything but it got caught on something and the car collapsed ..i gave up and sent the whole lot to scrap once i got the steering rack out...must admit though..this lx torana was pretty rusty when i got it 5 years ago..it would still be there but for the sake of room i have started double stacking some cars..i put a bare uc torana shell on top and the lx collapsed off the wheel stands..time to go to china..:(
