    If it's got a 6 cyl in it now then there would be a good chance that the v8 M21 is no longer there.

    you cannot interchange the 2 without pulling the box apart and changing the input shafts...

    Yep, that's what I was thinking. Whoever got the 308 out would have most likely taken the V8 gearbox too.
