it was quite nice to drive when i took it for a spin in 2005
had only just been redone at the time and i think from memory they had the GTR rims and rings on it
the dash was very cool but a couple of the gauges (Smiths from memory) bounced round like a MF and drove me nuts
It cranked pretty had but the tripples weren't tuned properly and kept choking

Certainly looks better with the period correct GTR trims rather than SLE style. A comparison of the GTR - X with both style rims (2 pics each) can be seen in Norm Darwins -100 years of GM P.291 and Terry Bebbingtons - 50 years of Holden P.196.
I have nevwer seen one of these before, looks futuristic for 1970. Did Holden only make the one? I didnt actually listen to the vid cause the sound on the PC doesnt work. Still looks good by modern standards.

There were 2 or 3 GTRX's built, I did read somewhere that the moulds and one other body still survive other than the one GMH has.
Maybe the same article I recall there was talk of remanufacturing the shells/panels in the vein of cobras, GT40'S etc for people to complete. Elfin had a similiar go though I havent heard much about them of late. Excellent idea but making it pay?
