How hard is it to get a hx with 350 rego'd in Vic? Seems like a bit of a task. Anyone got any thoughts?

I have heard it has to be straight gas to pass? This sound right?
straight gas is clean and surpasses all smog laws,,australian regoe authorities have this thing about 350s not complyimng with adr for pollution so straight gas fixes that..ive got 4 cars on gas ..sinbox is straight gas and is wb with 350 but its been regoed as 350 since 89 and in nsw if it runs constant rego is no probs with engineering etc..let it run out and it needs engineer cert..
So what's the best way to run the gas system? I've only had a dual fuel system thru a Holley on a hq years ago?
Can I put the 350 in the HQ? I'm having trouble with VicRoads at the moment registering it with a 253...
I would think you should be able to as the HQ was released with the 350.
Technically I'd say you're right... However VicRoads reckon I need a letter headed report from Holden stating that my 'Exact' model HQ came out with a 253 and everything that is required has been changed/converted to comply. I also didn't put the engine in myself, and so therefore need a stat dec explaining that I didn't buy the engine and that it wasn't stolen to the best of my knowlege..... And thats just for the 253...
Vicroads seem hard to get along with! Is there any car club rego available for these cars?

So if I pull fuel tank/ pump out to get rego would you ever get inspected after that by cops etc to see it's straight gas?
