I wouldnt bother going 2 barrel manifold original either, go 4 barrel rochester and the performance gain more than outweighs incorrectness.

For the life of me I cannot remember. Did the HZ's, when new, come with coolant.. (glycol?).. (not just water)..in the cooling system?

I've had a few old school radiator blokes tell me not to run glycol in my HJ Premier, just run anti-corrosive additive like the Castrol bottles.

Anal all the way Blocker,I can see you are very picky and it will bother you all the time.If it was mine I would be very anal(I was with the HDT wagon)And I was happy I did it in the end.Also think of the chase in finding the parts.I found that was half the fun.And boy did I find it hard once I had finished.Would you believe I still hunt out NOS parts even when I have finished the Wagon,It is like a drug and I cannot stop.

hmm. I would go repro. Well depends. On my GTS im using NOS where I can and recond elsewhere. Cost wise its MUCH MUCH more. I have NOS water pump, oil pump etc etc.

My Sandman will be aftermarket. But quility not cheap chinease crap.

I guess it depends on how far you plan to go with everything....

it is like a drug..ive spent 20 of the last 30 years buying and selling nos and general good second hand parts..you know your out of control when you have to hire big trucks to pick up 10 tonne worth...luckily now im over it..sell sell sell..not buy...

You say that But I bettca you still look(and buy)if you get for a good price,A big part is the hunting out of the parts,I know I have to stop.But as I said I enjoy it so much.

if its offered i will buy but i dont go looking anymore..i even stay away from ebay coz i always find something to buy...ive got enough crap to sell on ebay only for years and years and years...
