a steering wheel puller is a must as steering columns are getting harder to find good examples of, so if yours is nice and not worn then look after it, Ozbox has a thread that explains this a little more here: http://www.mysandman.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=561

i had my column rebuilt after a trainee at the spray shop heaved the steering wheel to move the car around the workshop but a combination of the car not running and my van having power steering meant that he snapped the column casing and cost me a few pennies i didnt need to spend.
