4.2 was standard with quadrajet in WB. Woodgrain dash is not correct, they had a black GTS Facia.

You will need guards, radiator support and front to convert to earlier front.

Chassis rails are shorter than earlier. They have the round end cut off and only two of the bumper bolts line up, but they do fit apparently.

No worries. I am not an expert though, just an enthusiastic owner of one.

WB = Worlds Best (so I've heard ) ... I'm a fan also, had a series II Caprice a few years back, nice. I've currently got my eye on a WB tonner, L31 M41 on gas to use as a daily so I can give my old EK a rest. Hmmmm hope the deal comes off.

    Thanks OZ Much appreciated!

buy it if it is factory L31! Very unusual. Then sell it to me for a terrific mates rate in a couple of years

It won't be a factory M41 in a WB. If it is an L31 plated WB tonner it'll be M38 or M40 transmission.

As Greg says, keep the WB inner guards and if the WB support is rusty unpick the spotwelds that hold the radiator to the support and modify the HJ-HZ support to accept the WB radiator mounts. Takes some time but worth it. This way you can run the better WB radiator and with the WB inner guards you can use the WB washer bottle/radiator overflow and canister. For the nose just find a HQ-HZ bent chassis and cut the snout of both rails and weld them to the WB rails, this will allow you to bolt the HJ-HZ bar on properly.

    to expand on what wb said...blue v8s had 4 barrels..no 2 barrels...
you can use bonnet, bonnet hinges, inner gaurds and battery tray from the wb everything else is different including the radiator,if your talented its not hard to mount the wb radiator to the hjxz support...hjxz bar bolts up perfect but your only using the 2 rear bolts..
