    HJ Holden Ute

    Just bought this for my pop It's a 173 3 on the tree Manuel
    in primer ready to paint, all rust repaired, the bloke got it to that point and lost interest in it all he wanted for it was $1500 he only lived around the corner from us
    plan is to paint it white and thats about it He dosent want it to be a Sandman ute just a stock ute

    and it has its original petrol cap..... looks like a good project....

    she was a real base model new..173..3 speed manwell with drum brakes all round..

    VERY rare. You never see 173 powered HJ's EVER. This also gives you a minimum date for Acacia Ridge stamping all driveline codes. Pretty cool combo too: Chamois with beige trim. It is also very late in early HJ build to see 60V beige on a bench, it may answer a question or two I have on 60V to 60W trim change for Acacia Ridge.

    Got to love how empty the engine bay is with the 6 cylinder motor! Climb right in there to work on the engine.

    Yeah so much room, if my pop didn't want it, i would of put it up on here in the for sale section
    but he needs a realiable car, his 84 mazda hasn't beeing going real good at the moment and has been costing him a lot of money, this ute is the perfect thing for him because he works out on a farm and is always taking rubbish and stuff to the dump with a trailer now he wont need the trailer as much, and there so easy to work on if anything gos wrong with it. and easy to get parts
