    I know it's not a Holden

After viewing the Ford 'Cobra' style van elsewhere on this site.

I remembered a question that I have been meaning to ask.

About 1year ago in Perth I saw an XA windowless van (yellow) driving along. I cannot ever remember seeing an XA van previously.

I remember XC vans as per the Cobra van.

How rare were XA vans?? Is it just that the years have passed and that is why they are rare?? V8's 6's??

    cheers wayne

Well back in 72/73 they were everywhere, but now are quite rare,

A mate of mine has an XB Falcon 500, with Factory fitted GS Options, and a genuinie 6cyl powered XC Sundowner. They are now a rare beast though!

They've all rusted into oblivion. XA-XD were the worst Aussie rust buckets of the lot.

There are a couple of XA vans that I remember, one was black with a flame job up the sides, the other was dark green. Both V8's and I'm pretty sure they both had big dragways and radial T/A's. It was about the mid 80's, haven't seen too many since. I also clearly remember a blue XD sundowner that looked pretty good.
