When the mirrors were made they were assembled using the bracket hinge first and securing it with a spring and nut. This allowed enough tension to ratchet for adjustment. Then the swivel was hot glued into place. Then the glass was attached to the pivot plate that had double sided tape. They could not be dismantled.You can see in your photos how it was done.
