Just write all the numbers down so you have the info. Take some pics and put them up. If you are buying it then pay according to the fact you dont know its anything other than a HJ panelvan.

paying a lot . im being lasy this time and buying someone elses hard work. i am rebuilding a torana hatch, and have rebuilt an slr 5 torana .just want somthing i can have power stearing on. 90percent sure its the real deal. but there is always that 10 percent, dont claim to be an expert . but xu3 not on compliance plate, and no rear roof lining or provision for has thrown. if it was a torana i can figure it out with the help of friends in a9x club. but not a torana a sandman.so at this stage friends cant hep, also new to forums and computers as havnt had much to do with them.
dpes ahj in the start of a chasis number mean its an adelaid car ?
The "A" before the "HJ" in the chassis number means it was a first year of HJ build as far as I know.
Steve

As well the info on the I'd plate for build and assemble factory I think the last letter in the chassis no. Which for matching no. Car should match body no. Will give you body build plant .the assemble plant is in the skinny tag H1-H4 Brisbane,H5-H9 Sydney ,J1-J9 dandenong,L1-L5 Adelaide
