So which way around should the pipes be? F 2 R or F 2 F

On my van the front resevior goes to the rear brakes and the rear reservoir goes to the front that is the only way the pipes would fit the threads.

smaller cylinder to rear brakes and larger to front which is what you said you had in the first place when they were locking up.
I did a gravity bleed on it tonight and got a s**tload of air out of the l/h rear. I'm thinking that I'll remake the master cylinder pipes and reconnect it the way I had it when it was locking up (caused by the air :Chinand see what happens. It can't get any worse.:(
whoever told you too bleed the brakes the way you did front to rear should be given a good hard pg13en with a hammer.
If my van sits for about 3weeks the first time i hit the brakes the left rear can lock up after applying the brakes a couple of time there is no problem after this
Although the Holden parts manual show it the other way but i'am sure the fitting would only let me hook it up this way .my brakes work better than I remember they did on original van. Jennie sorted typo in reply 12
