Do a search on the forums, we had someone pop in a give us some 'history'. If I remember correctly, the original car broke down or was not available so they got a stand in van from a traddie. All this is speculation from a mind that is on the way out due to a misspent youth! Anyway there is info out there about that van.

Looks just like an orange HJ van with HJ Statesman top and bottom grille and XC Fairmont headlights in a Premier nose. May even be a factory ambulance. Lower grille looks brand new, they were tht grey colour when new (I still have a NOS one in the shed).
according to Australian Muscle Car 55.... the red HJ van belonged to a 3rd year apprentice who worked at Graf-X, the company commissioned to make the cars, he lent them the van in return for some art work to be put on it...

It has a gts dash and bucket seats as can be seen in the movie. As far as I can see its all speculation afetr that. Without seeing tags that is.
True. Bucket seats and instruments could mean BO6 just as much as Sandman though. Maybe the car is still around.
