does anyone actually know? Could have been.
Isn't that grille just a standard Caprice one? They came with an upper and lower grille.
What year did the movie come out? 79?
.... are they really FORD headlights? XC or TE cortina.

Do a search on the forums, we had someone pop in a give us some 'history'. If I remember correctly, the original car broke down or was not available so they got a stand in van from a traddie. All this is speculation from a mind that is on the way out due to a misspent youth! Anyway there is info out there about that van.
haha there was a replica on ebay once... complete with chain and fake hand.

Looks just like an orange HJ van with HJ Statesman top and bottom grille and XC Fairmont headlights in a Premier nose. May even be a factory ambulance. Lower grille looks brand new, they were tht grey colour when new (I still have a NOS one in the shed).
