A banker. Left school at the ripe old age of 15 and joined the NAB as a teller in WA. Now Senior Manager of Anglesea and Winchelsea Community Bank Branches (Bendigo Bank franchise). We distribute vast majority of profits back into the community and get activity involve with local groups, organizations and community priorities.
I love beautiful things, which Sandmans are

Hi adam perth. I moved out of Southern Cross about 61/2 years ago but still go u[p there as I have a mate that is a Southern Crosser. When I was living out there I would go out scouring the countryside for cars (good fun) there is not much left out there now especailly after the scrap metal guys went through. The most interesting thing I saw out there and it was by invite only was a private collection only 200 metres of Great Eastern Hwy. It was the and probably and still is the biggest collection of AMCs in the Southern Hemisphere. The collection was an evolution so he had one of each model as the car company changed name but still produced cars eg nash changed to chrysler etc. The open front undercover shed they were in faces away from the highway. I took my camera but out of respect for being shown the cars and a story for each I didn't take any photos or tell anyone were it is ( I dont know if he cared or not but I thought it was the right thing to do). There were ex army staff cars Nashes. He also has a soft spot for holdens and had some FJs a HT ute he ordered new with a 307 chev (I think) there was so much to take in. He also had a vast collection of enamel signage, model cars, radios one of a kind circular fridges, original wooden moulds for the Perth to Kalgoorlie pipeline. It was mindboggling what he had but still took the time out to tell a story about most of the things in his collection. Some days I miss living out in the sticks we would just jump on our trail bikes and ride for hrs checking old campsites and the like out.

    Cheers Dave

They are putting on "cleanskins" because the experianced people just aren't available. You could expect around $100k starting salary.
thanks for the suggestion Paddy! I'll defo look into that!

In theatre I worked on the stage and up in the flys, did some rigging... all that kinda stuff. Did the lion king, we will rock you, the producers, wizard of Oz and lotsa others. In films I worked in the art department. Mostly props / prop buying and set dec. Also did some standby props too so did the ol hurry up and wait scenario.. Just sat back and ate quality free food! Mostly commercials, and short films. Biggest film I did was probably Ghost Rider. Just started to work on 'the pacific' when I went to uni instead to be a paramedic.

Started as Apprentice Ship Builder here in Newcastle building Navy Mine Hunters

Came out of my time and took golden Handshake cause had to take over family business due to Dads poor health

Once Dad got better headed to UK for 12months, started in Cafe and worked my way up to Manager 6 weeks hahaha

Took off and travelled Europe came back to Burger King as Manager in Manchester for 2 years then back to Cafe for last year

I realised I loved working in retail, my bag of tools never gave so much fun, have a laugh at work, a perv and a chance to see the world

So after 4 years we headed home, I returned back to ship building till the next contract finished went onto building trains,

    Then ran out of work

Worked for a recruitment agent finding work for tradies till GFC hit, then went looking for work again

Made my way into Woolworths as Liquor Manager now running the Grocery Section

A full mix bag of work, but thats me, a mixed bag, would i go on tools again hell yeah moneys better but I enjoy going to work

have been a training consultant for nearly 17 years now. Go out to organisations and run training sessions on all sorts of programs. Time Management, Customer service, negotiation skills, influencing etc as well as some computer training in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access etc.

Work for myself and try to work 3-4 days a week if I can. Goes up and down a bit. Sometimes 5 days a week next week 1 day.

you can check out my web page at ianfraserconsulting.com.au

Love the work. Short hours and the work doesn't follow me home at all.

I did the usual teenage jobs, I worked at an independent pizza place and Kennards hire on weekends while I was at school.

I then started working as a Surveying drafts man while still working at Kennards. It was sooo boring but I wanted to stick it out. When I helped draw the plans for the Oran Park development I found it hard to get out of bed in the morning knowing that I was destroying an Australian icon ;). So after I got my certificate I go the hell out of there and went to work at Kennards as a full time casual.

18 months later I was accepted into the police college in Goulburn and went through 8 months of S**T, now I'm a cop, out in the wild west. It's lots of fun and you never know what your walking into but I like helping people that really need help. Now only 40 odd years of work to go.
