most carter pumps i would think would require a reg, iv got 2 a baby and a biggin and both need a regulator to drop em back to 5 psi

also if your trying to mount the pump in the engine bay it wont last very long at all, they should really be mounted as low as possible and as close to the pickup as possible

Just going on what was recommended to me he's definately no backyarder and builds them professionally. Fuel starvation was based on a similiar spec (though bigger cammed) motor he'd done. I did wonder about locating the pump up front as on the same principle know irrigation pumps work alot harder / need more hp to lift further. If the L34 pump would still do the job adequately enough I'd be happy though left with an electric pump.By the way CAV did you see the last left 1/4 seal on Ebay went for $300.

are you going to upgrade the fuel line size aswell? may let the pump work a bit happier

nah i didnt see the quarter window but with the demand we are having for that part at the moment it doesnt surprise me, ill go look for the add now

Hadn't planned to upgrade the lines just trying to improve on factory. Thanks though worth considering, like yanks on their old performance cars, big blocks etc. Ill see how I go, just running out of steam with it and keen to get on the road.
Oh and for Blocker I think consensus is just stick a drum or milk carton on the roof and you will be fine.
