    HX8WM70

    G,day,

I've got a van that i like to think is a Sandman but would like someone to tell me either way, it's not an xx7 but was assembled in Sydney, it has rear headlining mount and door lightswitches.

    The tags read:

    Model HX8W M 70
    Body 235163-A
    Trim 2214-60A
    Paint 568-15991

    L31 M21 GV4

    GVW 1950kg Seating 2

    AHX 32350S

    8 M70TGH924309X

Any info would be good 'cause Holden weren't real helpful when i contacted them.

    Cheers

Holden can not even tell you what the two sandman package codes are lol.

Yours is a 99% sure XX7 Sandman even though it doesnt have XX7 on the tags. XX7 was simply the option package code. As was XU3.

    Cheers

I've already got that black HX van recorded. What a beauty too, Tuxedo black with Chamois & Black trim. Would look wicked especially as a DL7 (no stripes).

The HQ from the first post could easily be. I'd like to see more data for it if anyone has it. I'm not a Green car fan at all, but Monterey is a nice colour. 39 trim isn't common in Sandman either.

I spoke to the owner of this one today. I believe he may want to chat to you Byron about it.

The guy i bought it off rescued it from a paddock where it was used to store hay and he owned it about 91ish, it was his plan to save it but things come up, as they do, so i got it back, glad this forum is up because learning heaps from everyone, the knowledge on here is amazing.
