    Overriders

Hi, would anyone know what is the correct spacing for overriders on the front bumper bar, from the outside of the number plate to the inside of the overriders. Were they an option on sandman. I notice a HZ sandman van at the National Holden Motor Museum in Victoria has overriders.

    Overriders

We have just looked up a custom vans and trucks mag which has options for Sandmans, the October 76 pricelist showed bumper rubber strips as a $15extra but didn't appear to list overriders...but maybe they were bought aftermarket and put on...correct us if we are wrong...they are on the blue one in Euchuca though......

I was just going back through some old threads and found this one - I know, Holy Thread Resurection Batman.... This is a scan of my original fitting kit instructions that my grandfather purchased a set (from his brother in law who just happened to own a Holden dealership in Parramatta) of over-riders for his (now mine) HJ ute. They show them at 9.7 inches (24.6 cm for the dismetricated) from the centre of the bar, which means that the ones on the blue van are in the correct position, which co-incides closely with what is on my HJ.

Jennie inflation is a killer! That bumper rubber strip was only $11 in Feb '75 according to the new car invoice/options list I have for my ute. Over-riders were $17.49 (plus tax) at that time.

It's only a matter of time, when someone would answer my question. Interesting and thanks.

That would be nice to have a copy of this information, I notice you can't copy off the thread.
    Thanks

You can copy off the thread, it will probably be a limitation of your internet browser.
I use Google Chrome and I can right click on any image and ...'Save Image'

I am not sure how it is done on Internet Explorer - someone might help.

Great scan though, thanks for sharing!!!

Just try the right click and I notice "print picture" and try it out, printed the picture out of the overriders fitting instruction (it worked).
There you go, learn something new today.
Yesterday, I was trying to copy it and it just wouldn't work the way I want it too, operator error.
Still like a full hi-res version copy.

    Thanks for the tip.
