cheers
What you just said right there is exactly what I have been saying all along! I have never denied that. As I stated to GTS earlier I think you should have used this statement rather than the one debated. I appears you are trying to sneak back to the other side of the fence.
Once again I'll steer you back on track.
The statements that we are debating are...
If the chassis has been changed then it is NOT a sandman. (in other words 0% sandman)
its not a Sandman because it takes the ID of the donor chassis including the model designation.
You claim this is all all based on law.
No documents have been produced to provide the evidence to back this up.
Once again I will ask this question
Please answer this questions using your definition....
If a statesman has its chassis swapped it is no longer a Statesman.
What is it?
What if a chassis is used that has been stored in a shed since 1984 and no one can confirm what it came from.
What identity will it inherit?
There must be legislation to provide these answers. You claim to be the expert! Put up!

geeze 20 pages and 200 posts since friday, i just wanted the 200th lol
If i put my HX Sandman ute tags on my wb ute do I have a sandman ute now?????
Statesman is a whole new vehicle, not a luxury level like Premier or Belmont.
Sandman is a special vehicle package, based upon a particular model or models. Same as A9X, XU-1, BO6, XV4 (HQ GTS 4 door), XW8 (HQ GTS350 4 door), XV2 (HQ SS) etc.
So all sorts of intricate arguments/discussions could be had my mixing and matching chassis rails!
Having a hq chassis this ute could have 350 Chevrolet without engineers papers so a hq chassis 350 Chevrolet HZ body double head lights sandman stripes what a great combination . This would be pretty desirable

My wife and I bought a used Astra from our local Holden dealer in Jan 05. 5K on the clock, advertised as 2004, and clearly stamped on the compliance plate as 6/2004. Beauty, agreed on price then came back next day to sign the papers. Hang on, rego papers say Nov 03. They even had 04 on the slip in the window. We went straight to the car, lifted the bonnet and there near the radiator is a little sticker with Nov2003 on it.
Spoke to SA motor reg, no cannot be changed as the build date sticker is the one they go by.
We went back to the dealer, you sold us a car (and advertised) under false pretences. It is a year older than advertised and see how you go when you try and sell it.
To cut a long story short we agreed on free servicing for a period as compensation and still bought the car. Still under Holden new car warranty from the 04 compliance plate but most definately a MY03 car. Buyer beware.
