Without the ID plates it is no longer a Sandman unfortunately. Just a HQ Belmont van. Chassis number and engine number cannot be HQ Sandman but 4/74 certainly could be. Full length headling is not HQ Sandman. It does look like one, but there were heaps of those stripes around not fitted to Sandmans so could have been put on another one (it has stripes but no GTS guards). Looks like a trimatic badge on the LH side too but still could be a Sandman body.

Hi... you can see a hole in the floor for the floor shift. Did you manage to get a look and see if the rear console mount was welded to the floor? Did the column have the shift for the tri/three speed?

    Mauser

BTW it might of had a front end smash to have that prem front and might of lost the GTS guards then.

Sounds like a Sandman shell with rails replaced with earlier ute or van rails as a result of the smash.

HQ lost the vents around 5/74.

I know what the numbers come from by 30 years of ID collecting!
