Im sure everyone has been following the 'is this a sandman' thread recently. its made for some interesting debate whether it be in logic or law!
HK made reference to a recent case in Vic that has set new precedent. The nuts and bolts of the case are available in the latest issue of the UNIQUE CARS magazine. I read it an hour ago and my head is still spinning. Highly recommend for all peeps on this site

there is really nothing cloudy about it at all..
make sure what your buying is correct and then when you sell it dont misrepresent it..
Remember that court case was a CIVIL action, not a CRIMINAL case. Person who sold the XY GT as a Genuine car or whatever was found guilty of misrepresentation as it was a rebody. No criminal action taken. So if you sell a vehicle as a "genuine Sandman" you want to make sure that:
1. It is a Sandman.
2. That the body AND chassis are original to the tags.
If you aren't sure, don't advertise it as a Sandman. Call it a Holden ute (or van) and let buyer decide what it is.
