That might have been better kept as a need to know thing.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone.

Yes as Byron points out, there was a lot of work to do. It had basically been gutted when I got it. I think the guy was parting it out, then Byrons friend Craig ended up with it and Byron told me about it. It was great cos I flew up to have a look at it, and got picked up in Craigs Brock commodore and was taken to see his amazing collection of monaros. And the sandman. Which as byron said, did have a brilliant body. Been inland all its life and not a speck of rust. But most other bits needed sourcing. I cant even remember what ive done over the last few years, but Ive sourced and replaced the seats, the console, the carpet, the GTS dash, the GTS widened wheels, new tyres, replaced the engine, returned it to the HZ chassis, new windscreen, new full headlining, correct wheel caps and nuts the correct stripes, sanded and painted the inside, and had it lowered, (rear leafs resprung), put the spoiler back on, put it on gas... prob other stuff I cant remember. But its been fun.

i love the colour combo. It just reeks of seventies summer.

Hainzy has always been very up front with the car, hence I knew he wouldn't mind. It must be one of the best original bodied vans around though.

The Brock is long gone, but today it'd be a VX GTS rocketship!

As part of the resto i used sorcery and devils magic to return the chassis to its original number.

Its a 35 year old car. Who knows whats happened over the years. Anything could have happened when led Zeppelin were in government...
