I think a pool takes up the same amount of space as a double garage, so instead of a pool and a double garage I'm getting a 4 car garage. May still go with an outdoor spa though. Parents in Law have one and it's a nice place to relax.

That's about it. Your spending all that money so your kids friends can cool off in summer. Don't forget that you will then end up feeding most of the little bastards and your fridge will be perpetually empty. Cheaper to send your kids to the public pool with 5 bucks for an icecream.
