Thanks Jennie I don't think you can really go wrong with a Sandman. There just seems to be so much interest in them at the moment and I think they are probably heading the way of muscle cars in price. Everyone I talk to seems to be able to identify with Sandmans in some way or another. I just hope they don't end up like aussie muscle cars hidden away in sheds and not driven like they were mean't to be.

Hi well ours is driven every day until were get her soda blasted..... yesterday, I took a pic of Rodney loading stuff into it....more for the accountant though.... once she is off the road, then our new one will be driven about.....we girls seem to be a minority on this site......most of my girlfriends think I am mad, but love to go for a drive with me......we are off to a local amataur theatre production of "Grease" and they want to go in the back of it like we did when we were went to see it at the Drive in:D

    Blue print

yes it is useful to have that van to copy from...I have forgotton what our original van was even to the extent i didn't think the blinker was meant to be black if the interior was buckskin....the forum enlightened me on that, I was going to swap it....are you restoring the van on your avator, it looks to be the same colour as our red van?

Okay well if it was originally Jasmine yellow then it would stand to reason all the interior is buckskin....we are doing up our avatar pic..back to that Jasmine, and have to change all interior as they changed the whole lot to black, and the motor from 308 to 253 and gearbox back to a 4spd instead of auto..nothing is original except it has id plates, is windowless, and has a reasonble body.....a lot of work but worth it when done....the Red van will be loads easier, and cheaper to do, we will get it registered when the yellow one runs out of Rego, and goes into the panel beaters, soda blaster, and paint booth...A good place in Sydney at Peakhurst to do the interior, some friends did up a HJ and we saw the finished product....but I guess you are in Perth so that is no help.....Love Panama Green too
