thanks jennie that answers a few questions aswell i can look at your interior as a reference to get mine back to buckskin. seats carpet and doortrims have all been changed
yes it is useful to have that van to copy from...I have forgotton what our original van was even to the extent i didn't think the blinker was meant to be black if the interior was buckskin....the forum enlightened me on that, I was going to swap it....are you restoring the van on your avator, it looks to be the same colour as our red van?
yes will be doing a full resto soon it is a 77 hz l31 originally jasmine yellow, think im going to paint it panama green though
Okay well if it was originally Jasmine yellow then it would stand to reason all the interior is buckskin....we are doing up our avatar pic..back to that Jasmine, and have to change all interior as they changed the whole lot to black, and the motor from 308 to 253 and gearbox back to a 4spd instead of auto..nothing is original except it has id plates, is windowless, and has a reasonble body.....a lot of work but worth it when done....the Red van will be loads easier, and cheaper to do, we will get it registered when the yellow one runs out of Rego, and goes into the panel beaters, soda blaster, and paint booth...A good place in Sydney at Peakhurst to do the interior, some friends did up a HJ and we saw the finished product....but I guess you are in Perth so that is no help.....Love Panama Green too
yes it was originally all buckskin, mine has a lot of work too i am going to start stripping it down soon and get to a bare shell like blocker has done in his blog then ship it off to the panelbeaters. i am just trying to sort out all the little bits ill need for when the time comes to reassemble
