    HJ Ute

This HJ ute on ebay must be close to a Kingswood XU3. Especially nice combination anyway L31/M41 in Sepia with Slate Black.

Hi Scotty, welcome to the community.

I use Mr Jones's resources as an invaluable tool whilst researching. It has lots of combinations to give you a guide inside and out.

Damn it. That is almost EXACTLY what i'm looking for. A Sepia HJ Kingswood Sandman ute in L31 M41 GU7. Only think i'd want is factory air, steer and 60V trim. Shame it is such a rusty piece of rubbish. I'm about 95% sure it is a Sandman, but i'll ask some questions.

Sepia is one of the nicest HJ colours. Just looks bad in photos. Look at one close in real life and it looks black in the shed and bronze in the sun. Similar effect to Phantom in VSIII and VT that looks black in the shade and metallic grey/silver in the sun.

I'm with you Byron. Its one of those colours that is exceptional when new and shiny and you are standing in front of it. When the car spends 40 years in the weather and used as a work tool it's will definitly take more than a buff to bring up the luste.

    PS So an XU3?

No it isn't a Sandman, I rang him and it had a seat separator and column shift. Bugger, as it would have been the first Sepia Sandman i've recorded too. One of the few elusive colours.
