Hi,
Is there any definitive way telling a genuine tailgate from a taiwanese, other that it feels thinner? Is the any specific markings or construction difference between the two? I sold a geniune tailgate and now the person is saying that the gate feels and weights the same as a tawianese gate - find that hard to believe!

from my experience the cheapies have tonnes of spot weld? bumps on the main face of in the inside panel section. they are MUCH lighter and the skin folds around the body are pretty thin and shitty looking.

this is a bit clearer of the number, i think there may be a few different numbers but a genuine has nothing there at all, only metal
and for anybody interested i took a photo of a set of tiawanese guards too while i was in the shed, the stamp is at the top of the guard about the middle, in the groove that the bonnet closes over
