Back in the late 80's I was the drummer in a band that had a regular gig near the Richmond Railway station in Melb. We'd pack this place with 200 people each Sat night and I do not tell a lie when I say most of them were gorgeous women.

I had a HQ Sandman at the time and typically decked out with brown shag and two teardrop windows near the back, the van was primarily practical in those days, as I would cart my drums in it even during the week.

However Benson's (this pubs name) was notorious for being a hang out for the 'nicer' girls out on the town at this time, so the deal with the other band members was that my drum cases stayed backstage during the gig instead of back in the van. So that it could be used for other stuff like socializing.

One particular night I remember using that van between each of our 3 sets!
