    Hi Everyone
A mate has found what he thinks is a HX sandman ute fo me, just wondering what sort of price range should i be looking at paying for it,i havnt seen it yet but he tells me its been in a shed for 12 years, its looks in good condition but has been resprayed, he did get some numbers for me from the compliance plate but i am yet to verify, seat capacity is 2 paint was 567-15940 trim is 1894-60A with L31, M41, GU4, i will be looking at it in 2 days time. Currently has a 253 and a 4 speed.

Dewalt, We bought a HX ute recently, it sounds as though it is in similar condition, and we paid $6300. It was unregistered, but going we drove it home from Goulburn, to Parkes, and it ran well, it is Mandarin Red with 18V trim.

    Cheers

Antelope with Chamois/black trim probably won't be that popular BUT it is a 308 TH400 originally (and probably LSD, air and steer too). If the body is good it'd have to be worth somewhere between $6k and $8k, maybe closer to $6k.

Hmm, I value it somewhere between $1 and $25000. It is impossible to tell without pictures and knowing if the chassis matches the tags.

True. I'm assuming it all matches and the body is good but work still needed. It'll never be worth much higher than low-mid teens though as the original driveline is gone.

Thanks for the replies everyone, i was to purchase it i would return it to a 308 with a t400, is there any way of knowing the original engine number that would have been in this ute?

NOT a Sandman. It is a Kingswood, has to be a Holden in HX to be a Sandman. Kingswood Sandman finished at the end of HJ.
