dunno about that ...but i have wrecked a couple of L31 tagged wb 1 tonners which were fully loaded and ive got a customer with an L31 tagged 84 1 tonner which again is fully loaded and a factory 4 speed...

they were definately produced its just that the authorities dont believe they were..:knockout:

That's really interesting, all I have ever heard is that they were never made, maybe not as an official Sandman release, but as you have stated the build's are out there.

A mate of mine bought a WB ute new and he could not get one with a 5 litre. Maybe it was a case of who you knew?
I had not heard of any plated with a 5 litre before. The tags prove it though. Maybe the last ute shells did get them as well. They were supposedly sent to each dealer(one each) and I heard that 2 went to Dubbo by mistake.
