I found mySandman: this website?? I was searching the web trying to find info on whether the van my mate was selling was a sandman or not
For a living I: am a panel beater / spraypainter for a car restoration business.

I'm currently listening to: The new Van Halen album has been playing non stop in my car for the last few weeks. I'm a big music buff so I like everything from Buddy Holly to Cradle Of Filth.But mostly heavy metal and punk
The thing I'd like most to do, right now, that I haven't done is: find the motivation to work on my van and my EK sedan
Something I'm really proud of is: my wife, who not only tolerates my shit, but is also a kick arse roller derby girl.


I own an Adelaide built Firethorn van. It was in pretty bad shape when I bought it. Someone had given it a really bad white paint job sometime in the 80's I reckon. The interior, dash and steering column was missing. It still had the hoodlining in it. It still had what I believe is the original motor, gearbox and diff. I had it sandblasted a couple of years ago and was a bit disappointed when it came back. So I ended up buying an XC van which I made into a "cobra" tribute.... but I sold that coz I really prefer the sandman..... just need to find the motivation to get cracking on it.... it's no longer easy for me to work on cars on my weekends when I spend all week doing the same.
It's a great community you guys have here. I've enjoyed reading everyone's posts and checking out the cars. I'm hoping I'll be able to get some advice from you all when I finally pull my finger out and start some work on my van again.
