Ok theres been way too much discussion on here about sundowners, but heres my contribution....

This one lives literally less than 100 metres from me in Ballarat. Its always been a ballarat car and has the same owner for the last 16 years. 141k on the clock.... Original colour, column auto, and original 4.1 6 cylinder engine. Comp plates are caked with crap. The only number I could make out was 45683 and I think maybe the engine thing said N..?

Apparently a genuine sundowner. It is sort of for sale but the bloke is still using it. he reckons he'll sell it before winter this year. He wont want much for it.

Thing is though, its very rusty. Very very rusty... Inside and out. You can see daylight through the floor pans. Itd be a herculean efffort to get it back on the road once the rego runs out. If these things actually reached high speed youd be in danger of the roof peeling off. To prove fords and holdens really are opposites, the only panel not rusty was the tailgate!

Those that think Holden vans look bad with windows, look at those ugly POS's above! They look as bad as one of those disabled conversions on Falcons, Camrys etc with the wheelchair ramp on the rear. I cannot stand XC's, they are so ugly on the nose.

You seem rather annoyed hk1837...is it because the van above is green?

I just can't stand XC's! In my eyes probably the most awful looking car ever made in Australia. Those windows just make them look so much worse!

I like the uglyness of the green with stripes. Its beautifully seventies! Im no ford man but I reckon the falcon coupes of that era look pretty tough. I would never want to drive one. A mate has one and the rear vision is virtually non existant, but they would have looked very scary if you were racing in a slow car at bathurst and you could see one of those beasts bearing down on you in your rear mirror...

Rear vision was obscured by Cleveland smoke! XA's are horny, not XC's though in my eyes.
