Yeah, that is good, because if it does not suit the car I can always get them flipped..

Okay, thanks mate.. Those ones are pretty cheap aswell.. and agreed, the white writing suits the shape and the age of the car..

I have narrowed it down to either BF Goodrich or Maxxis ones.. Now the choice of what size.. I am thinking 225/60/R14 for the front and 235/60/R14 for the rear... any suggestions on that??

I think the above sizes will fit, but correct me if I'm wrong..
    Cheers,
    Matt

235 will be too wide for the standard rims I would think. I run 235 on 7" front and 8" rear wheels.
I think standard they had 195 but 225 would probably be as wide as I would go on a 6" rim.

Rightio, thanks for the help... Looks like I am after a set of 225/65/R14 for the rear and a set of 215/65/R14 on the front..

    My 10 cents ...

The Maxxis are a good tyre but only do the HT760 in 245/60-14 and 235/60-14.

235/60 will fit the 6" rim but is more suited to a 7".

    You'll get more size options with the BFG's, 245, 235, 225, 215.

Yesterday I ordered another set of BFG's (245's & 215's) from Matt @Tyre shack and agree with '77', good price, great bloke, easy to deal with and fast freight.

Raised white letters are cool, I have Yokie 352s, BFG's & Eagers on all my cars ... can't get Yokis or Eagers any more (in 14s) so go with the BFG's and be cool like the rest of us white letter legends!

Thats a bummer about the Maxxis.. :( Well, going by the thread that Rodney posted I will be looking for 205/60/R14 on the front and 225/60/R14 on the rear...

The BFG's look like a good tyre and are very well priced.. I will probably get me a set of those and see how they go.. I don't need them at the moment, but I will definatley get a set when I need them..

Raised white letters are awsome.. I would be getting the yokies if they still made them to suit 14" wheels.. :( Oh well, I'll just have to get the GTS rim centres put in 15" x 7" and 15" x 8" wheels..

Thanks again to everyone for their input... All the help has made the decision heaps easier..
    Cheers,
    Matt

@83 WB_Ute ... I always have fun playing with this site when I muck around with tyres/wheels. Gives you a bit of a comparison between the different tyre profiles, rims & offsets etc that you might want to fit up. Tyre aspect ratio isn't everything, rim offset plays a part in whether a tyre will fit as well, especially widies on lowered cars. cheers Tony
