I dont think it was the HX's looks but the reports of the journalists at the time commenting that the thing hardly idled. The poor attempt at tuning the engines for the ADR requirements made them lack the power of the predecessor. The HJ 308 was the most powerful with its reported increased compression and bhp over the HQ but fell away sharply in the HX guise. That doesnt help the sales when you read a car runs badly and uses more fuel.

Sorry to say mines only a replica, but just in the process of fitting a a GTS dash and full hood lining, shes not looking to bad.
Good on you craigHZ, there is nothing wrong with owning a replica. If you are enjoying being part of the vanning crowd, that is all that matters.

I've just finished pulling out the complete front end to rebush, also just removed the diff, fuel tank exhaust etc so as I can pressure wash underneath and reapply under body deadner and repaint wheel arches. I'm going to paint diff while im at it and fit new springs shocks etc
What have i done to my van lately.................................... about the same as i've done since February................
