    My HX Sandman

    Hey All,

This is my HX Sandman I brough about a month ago, sight unseen from SA. The bloke I bought it from was helpful and there were not too many surprises. It is in the original colour Mint Julip but it has a 308 trimatic instead of a 253 4 speed. Also as can be seen it is very low and has GTS Guards and twin headlight front end. All these changes I like and they will stay. My plan was to drive it for a few years then restore it, but after one month in the humidity it needs attention a bit sooner. So I will repair, respray and rebuild engine as soon as I can afford to. I paid $12,000 for it which was maybe a bit much but it was the right colour and I liked the non original configuration.

This is a great site and has helped me alot. Thank you

    Cheers
    Jason

    That's cool as Jason,

My first car with a liscence was a mint julip HX Sandman with black interior so i have a bit of a soft spot for them. Well bought by the look of it.

    Cheers Mark

BTW, it's only too expensive if you feel ripped off

Looks good digger I doubt you paid to much for it ,you now own a going sandman with pretty good paint pay less and you buy something that needs alot of work.come the wet season you will probably need to install a drivers side windscreen wiper.

Rainex is the answer to this problem it works a treat I was at foster and wiper motor packed it in rang oz at Toronto an order exchange so I could pick up the next day on route .during discussion I said it going to a shit of a trip down because it was raining and oz suggested Rainex it worked .in fact the wipers arn't all that great anyway so Rainex helps .

    Very nice looking van Jason!!!
Not normally keen on green, but there's something about that green that I really like.
As for the non- standard changes, that will be what makes her yours and something different, from the rest.
    Good on you,
