Rainex is great that's what I have been using. I am told it fills in all the very small holes in the glass and this makes the water bead up and roll off. Very handy up here in the nt.

Used to use it on my helmet visor years ago. It make the water bead up and it just glides off the glass.

It's a liquid you have to wipe windscreen dry of all liquid then apply in a kind circular buffing action with dry cloth the rain then hits the windscreen and blows of after application It last quite a long time

Rain.X is available at Repco's, Burson Automotive (down here) and I'd imagine at Supercheap too. If not www.rainx.com . We use it on our boat windshield as well, for when we go offshore.
I've also seen Enduro Shield Auto Glass, supposed to be simular and suposedly lasts up to 12 months www.tricoproducts.com.au , but I haven't used this one yet.
