    For the record.
    I have 2 GTS wheels.
the one off my HZ GTS (11/77) is a 5mm one. (281xxxx). The car has not had many owners. Clearly was never in major accident. The wheel is worn somewhat. But not heaps bad. The car hasn't been on the road for about 20 years!

I also have a NOS one in a Bridgestone box. Its the 3mm style. (92xxxxxx) Over the top of the part number it has the stamps (5G5G). I will be using this on my HZ GTS. Unless I find a NOS 5mm one. I don't want reproduction...

My 3mm one has another number ABOVE the spline section. Don't know what it is or why it's there.

My silver one (3mm) has the number 6G5M above the spline. Could this be a date code?
Also is there anyone that repairs the wheel as my black one (5mm) is broken but the rest is really good and no wear on the grip section?

what's broken about it? I've often wondered about seeing if I can source a supplier to redo them on an exchange basis. With new paint and outer grip.

I have spoken to an original staffer that was at Uniroyal / Bridgestone who advises that the initial wheel production started in Dandenong and then moved to SA very early 80's. The production date codes often used letters to represent a year, so it is possible 5G5G could be May 1977. They kept on producing the 3mm thick wheels for spare parts sales up until the early 90's,

The top part of the wheel is broken. From 1 spoke to another. It will move seperate from the rest.

Thanks for that Greg. This gives me a date on the 3mm one then. POSSIBLY a factory silver one but unsure of this.
