    Holdens Sea Witch

Firstly I will introduce myself, Dan from the previous site - sandmanowners.com.

Those who are chasing info regarding the van dubbed "sea witch" will be interested to know the van was painted by famous australian auto artist Alan Puckett. Unfortunately he passed in 2009 but I did have the luxury of receiving correspondence from him in early 2000. He did send me some images of the van, some may have seen these already. Alot of the data and images on this site are originally from sandmanowners and from my own personal collection so not sure what everyone has seen.
A quick google search didnt find any sandman info related to Alan Puckett. I will try and dig out his original emails.

I have been out of the sandman scene for a few years now after selling off my own HZ sandman in supermint green, those older sandman fans will remember it from the cover of Unique Cars magazine and another HX windowless in Deuville Blue. Subsequently the club also went down after both Fletch and myself did not have the time to put into it.

    Hi Dan and welcome.
Firstly just let me say a "Thank you" for the sandman owners website. As it was your sight, seeing your cars and the info in it at the time, which gave me the push to go ahead with my long time dream of getting a panel van firstly and then with the extra info between your site, oldholden.com and manaroparts.com , to try and get a ridgy Sandman. Which I have done and couldn't be happier. I was however dissappointed when your site dissappeared, but that I suppose led the way for this one to evolve.
Thanks again and thanks for the info you put on here yesterday.

I've got Byron and Fletch to thank also for helping with the info side of things on that site. There wasnt that much info about when I first started and I'm glad someone has taken the time to setup a new area for sandman enthusiasts to go. What brought me back and the find of this site was I want to get my butt back into a holden van, I do miss them and the old hiace as a van just doesnt cut it, Although it wont be a sandman this time around.
I will try and add what info I do have to various threads to help out. I'm also looking at offloading a fair amount of sandman memorbilia, which will end up on evilbay. Need to help fund this new project.
