Some suggestions for forum

An alternative to locking the threads could be to ensure that there is a photo and at least a vague description (including final price if possible) which is saved locally to the thread to allow the sale to be used for market research for longer than 3 months (or the day after in the case of gumtree ad's). Having a bunch of threads titled "check this out" and containing nothing but a link and some vague comments is about as useful as the threads titled "what's it worth?" with no pictures or any real idea on the condition of the vehicle (can you tell I hate "what's it worth" threads).

Might make it easier for people to determine a price on their own without being redundantly repetitive.
I'd hate to see a situation where Byron looks at a thread where he has answered the same question a thousand times and just say's to himself "f*&$ it, I'm not a parrot" and gives up.

Need yourself a "donate" button somewhere too. Surely you're not paying for this whole site on your own.

+1 to the above. Especially since you're not using advertising to at least cover your costs Blocker.

Though I would like to donate in one way or another Blocker via the couple of stickers I asked you about late last year if you get a moment....

I like where you are coming from. I have been very slack in following through on the rules of posting in the sales sections. The rules say the thread will be locked after a while and also when posting tracking info threads will be removed if it has a pointless description and a link. Some people just don't know how to save a pic from ebay and post it up in the threads there.

Couldnt agree more with you on the ipad point rodney.... Its a right royal pain in the butt to be honest...

This issue is a forum development problem, I have raised the problem with the makers of the forum program and they have assured me it will be fixed in the next release.

Blocker I could write up some 'how to's' if you like. (I did promise Gaddy I would do this ages ago for loading larger photos :neutral: ) Do I just open up a new tread under Forum Rules?? Or do you wont me to put somewhere else? Let me know and I will get started.

I know, been slack in that area about getting stickers out to everyone, oh and I still have a bunch of mySandman t shirts left over!!! A donate button is just something I am not comfortable with at the moment.
